Information about becoming a Division I, II, or III Athlete

NCAA Eligibility Center

Student athletes will need to choose to set up either a Certification Account or a Profile Page.

The Certification Account is mainly for student athletes who are interested in playing sports at a DI or DII school.  To make official visits to a school or to sign an NLI for a DI or DII school, student athletes must have a completed Certification Account with the Eligibility Center--this means all information must be entered, official transcript received, and $100 application fee submitted (or fee waiver for qualifying individuals).

The Profile Page is for students who are unsure if they will be competing at a DIII school or at a DI or DII school.  West York will not be able to see who creates profile pages--they only have access to certification accounts.  Setting up a profile page is free, but post-secondary schools will not have access to it.  If a student athlete decides he or she wants to play at a DI or DII school, he or she can move the account to a certification account; however, a certification account cannot be moved to a profile page.
